Tasers don't kill?

I came across a protest against the usage of taser by police while I was visiting Toronto, Canada on the weekend of November 24th, a month and 10 days after the death of Robert Dziekanski. Robert Dziekanski was a polish immigrant who landed on Canada's soil on October 13 2007 at Vancouver Airport and was tasered to death shortly on October 14 2007 by the RCMP.

Robert's flight arrived late. He had some troubles at the custom gates with his baggages. The police were asking him questions but he did not understand english. The police didn't have any translating equipments or persons in trying to help him. There was a miscommunication on both sides. Robert got agitated and was throwing things around, the police ordered for him to calm down which he did but the police tasered Robert 4 times anyways and caused the death of Robert and the controversial debate of taser usage.

Agreed! this is a new kind of weapon that has been silently inserted into the police arsenal. It should be limited to one burst and should be used under the same restrictions as the firearm.

I think he got teasered 2 times as shown in this troubling video : http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ftp7IQph0_o

I agree to this full extent-- same time, the powerful b/w imagery showing protest for a thing such as this, is purely beautifully demonstrated, its powerful enough for me to wanting to get out there and do my thing!

great captures :)

ipnextgen-I read in the article that he got tased 4 times. but yeah I think tasers should be treated as a gun that shoots you in the foot rather than just a 'toy'...it hurts but it won't cause death. :D
